Alliance is a Swedish esports organization founded in April 2013 after signing the No Tidehunter roster. By then, the all-Swedish team had already made a name for itself by winning StarLadder StarSeries Season 5.

2013-2014

From the moment it appeared, the team dominated the professional scene, winning G-1 Champions League Season 5. The year's greatest triumph was its performance at The International 2013.

After receiving a direct invitation, the legendary lineup of Jonathan Loda Emanuel Berg, Gustav s4 Magnusson, Henrik AdmiralBulldog Per Anberg, Jerry EGM Lundkvist, and Joakim Akke Akterhall went through the entire tournament with almost no defeats. In a spectacular grand final, they beat Natus Vincere 3-2, inscribing their names on the Aegis of Champions.

In the first half of 2014, Alliance earned several more victories at various competitions, but failed to defend its title as the strongest team in the world. At The International 2014, the team underperformed, finishing only 11th-12th and leaving the tournament after the group stage. This result broke up the “golden roster”: s4 and EGM were the first to leave, beginning a prolonged series of roster changes.

2015-2016

After a year of instability and constant individual replacements, the organization announced the reunion of its championship-winning 2013 lineup in late 2015.

The legends' return paid off: the team won World Cyber Arena 2015 and StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 1. However, at The International 2016, the team finished only 9th-12th, after which the championship roster disbanded for good.

2017-2019

The team's results declined again, and Alliance dropped to tier-2 level.

The situation changed when Loda retired as a player and became a coach, gathering promising European players around him (Michael miCKe Vu, Aydin iNSaNiA Sarkohi, Samuel Boxi Svan, Tommy Taiga Le, and Max qojqva Brocker).

In 2019, the revamped roster returned to the top level: it finished third at OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, second at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2, and became champion of DOTA Summit 10.

At The International 2019, the team finished 13th-16th, and immediately after the tournament the entire lineup moved to Team Liquid.

2019-2020

In October 2019, management assembled an entirely new lineup featuring Nikolay Nikobaby Nikolov, Linus Limmp Blomdin, Neta 33 Shapira, Simon Handsken Rasmus Haag, and Adrian FATA- Trinks.

The team immediately won DreamLeague Season 12 and finished fourth at DreamLeague Season 13.

However, internal disagreements led to the removal of FATA- and 33 in spring 2020. s4 returned to the team, while fng took the support position; with them, the roster earned silver at the online tournaments ESL One Birmingham 2020 and OGA Dota PIT Season 2.

2021

In 2021, Alliance showed consistent form during the European DPC season.

The team placed in the top three at ESL One Summer 2021 and finished 7th-8th at ESL One Fall 2021. Thanks to the DPC points it earned, the roster qualified directly for The International 2021, where it repeated its result from five years earlier, finishing 9th-12th.

2022-2024

After TI10, the club's results deteriorated dramatically. Throughout 2022 and 2023, Alliance attempted to return to the tier-1 scene, constantly changing players, dropping into the second DPC division, and unsuccessfully trying to qualify for major tournaments.

Unable to overcome its competitive crisis, the organization officially announced the suspension of its Dota 2 division in early 2024.
