Bio

Artur Goblak Kostenko is a former professional player from Ukraine, currently working as a commentator and analyst during tournament coverage. In DotA and the early years of Dota 2, he was considered one of the best captains in the world and was known for his unconventional outlook on the game and unexpected draft picks. This status later played a cruel joke on Arthur: his nickname became a nickname for strange, often unjustified picks not built on any particular strategy, or 5 heroes without control.

Goblak came to Dota 2 as soon as it appeared - in 2011. He didn't make it to The International 2011, but won the Dota2 Star Championship, beating Natus Vincere in the finals with The Retry. Soon this team was signed by DTS Gaming, and Artur and his teammates won the ASUS Open 2012 Spring Cup. Goblak also had time to play in Darer: during the season the team managed to reach the 4th place at StarLadder StarSeries Season 2 and 9-12 at The International 2012.

The next team was Team Empire: 1st place at major tournaments - RaidCall Dota 2 League Season 1, ASUS Open 2012 Finals and The Premier League Season 3 - and other achievements did not convince the player in the reliability of the team, so on the eve of The International 2013 he assembled his own DD.Dota pack, signed by Quantic Gaming. Alas, the squad was one step away from qualifying for the tournament, losing to RattleSnake at the Wildcard Match.

As a substitute in Natus Vincere, Goblak won Techlabs Cup 2013 Season 3, which marked the beginning of cooperation between the player, who became the team's coach at The International 2014, and the organization. After that, he had a good showing in RoX and even created the NVMI team, which took 1st place at Game Show League Season 1 and was then signed by Virtus.pro as a Polar division, but for personal reasons he didn't stay in those teams for long. As a Natus Vincere player, Artur reached the 9th-12th position at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015.

Goblak's last team was CIS Rejects, then signed by Team Spirit. It managed to win the PGL Dota 2 Pro-AM, qualify for The Shanghai Major 2016, where it finished 13-16th, and unlocked the talent of young RAMZES666, Iceberg and AfterLife. After leaving the roster in August 2016, Goblak stepped away from being a player and focused on covering tournaments.
