Bio

Eugene Sh4doweh Alekseev (aka Jekich) is a Ukrainian professional Dota 2 player, active until 2017, coach, streamer, commentator and analyst. He is best known as the captain of ScaryFaceZ, through which many famous pro players have passed. Participant in the longest pro-Dot match against Cloud9.

Sh4doweh's cybersports career started in 2014, and during that time he played in Ukrainian stacks like Knights and Zdarova, but didn't get any achievements. At the end of the same year, Eugene became a member of ScaryFaceZ. The team's first achievement was the 2nd place at StarLadder ProSeries Season 11, followed by victories at insideDOTA Challenge and GIGABYTE Challenge #14, which brought them more than $5k. At the same time StarLadder StarSeries Season 12 qualifiers were held, where ScaryFaceZ played the longest match in the history of professional Dota, lasting 3 hours 20 minutes and 24 seconds, against Cloud9 and lost to a stronger opponent.

Later on, Sh4doweh and his teammates placed in the top 3 of Game Show Invitational, took 2nd-4th place at the Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 qualifiers for CIS and won MSI Dragon Battle #7 and PGL Dota 2 Pro-AM Qualifier #1. However, the bigger tournaments were beyond their reach, so in 2016 Evgeniy left the club and went on a wander around the teams of the region. As a substitute in Natus Vincere, he became the silver medalist of BTS Europe #1; as a member of Ne Rusb pack, consisting of Ukrainian players, finished WESG 2016 Europe & CIS Finals on the 5-8 line; together with Rebels he won Dota 2 Danger Cup Season 1. Sh4doweh's last appearances as a player at the moment were his appearances for SFTe-sports and M19, after which he switched to coaching and coaster work.

From 2018 to 2020, Eugene worked as a coach for various FlyToMoon and Winstrike Team squads, helped Team Ukraine Yellow take 4th place at the 2018 World Electronic Sports Games and worked on his own project Team Jekich. The biggest achievement of this time was his Winstrike Team mentees' 9th-12th place finish at The International 2018. Sh4doweh also became a famous streamer and opinion leader. Unexpectedly, in September 2020, Eugene played for FlyToMoon at OMEGA League: Europe Divine Division and won.
