Valve has announced a Short Film Contest for The International 2025

Valve has announced the start of submissions for its traditional Dota 2 Short Film Contest. To participate in the contest, you must submit your application by 17.08.2025 22:00. Entries must meet certain requirements, which are described on the official website.

All videos created as part of the Dota 2 Short Film Contest 2025 will be displayed in the Steam Workshop, where users can vote for their favorite entries.

After August 18, Valve will select the 10 best entries, which will be submitted for the final vote. The winners will be announced at The International 2025, and their work will be shown during the tournament itself.

The prize pool for the contest remains the same: the authors of the three best works will receive $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000 for first, second, and third place, respectively. The remaining seven nominees will receive $500 each.
