Valve extended the archived version of Crownfall until June 1

In the night of March 13, 2025, developers from Valve released a small update for Dota 2. The patch did not affect any game bugs or make changes to the game mechanics. The main change was the extension of the archive date for Crownfall from March 17 to June 1. It is worth noting that Valve has delayed the full end of the event for the second time. Thus, Crownfall has become the longest event ever in Dota 2.

In the summer of 2025, the event's functionality will be permanently removed from the game. Until then, players can continue to play mini-games, spend candies, coins, and other rewards from Crownfall.

The Crownfall event ran from April 2024 to February 2025, and then it was extended and moved to an archived version. The event introduced unique arcana for Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage. Additionally, it featured four storyline acts, for which players could earn various rewards. Many casual and professional players note that the event's extended duration, combined with double betting tokens, contributed to the decline in ranked matches.

Earlier, Cyberscore provided a list of the best neutral items in the pro scene, according to analyst Ben Noxville Stinheusen in patch 7.38.
