Ukraine national team withdrew from the IESF World Championship

The Ukrainian national team refused to continue playing at the IESF World Championship 2023. The reason for this is that IESF (International Esports Federation) removed the restriction on players and teams from Russia, allowing them to play under their flag and anthem.

The Ukrainian national team was able to advance through the group stage of the tournament, reaching the playoffs via tiebreaker. In the first round, Ukraine lost to Kyrgyzstan, but after the announcement of the IESF decision on the players from Russia, the team did not show up for the game against Indonesia

Denis Stonebank Korzh, Nikita Panda Katkov, Rodion Infernal Kylakov, Ilya geO`ZziZi Iasinskiy and Ivan Kidaro Bondarev played for the Ukrainian national team at the IESF World Championship 2023. The team took the 7th-8th place.

As Cyberscore reported earlier, Entity and Luna Galaxy will play for a slot to The International 12 from Western Europe.
