Aui_2000 criticizes the Dota Pro Circuit system

Tournaments
Aui_2000, who is the coach of Tundra Esports, has expressed his disappointment with the distribution of points during regional DPC-leagues. He said this in an interview with Escorenews.

He called the Dota Pro Circuit system "strange" and said that teams that perform well not only in online tournaments but also at LAN events should go to The International.

"I don't think China should have four slots right now. The region doesn't deserve that many with its level. I understand that slots help you get to The International. In that respect, the whole DPC system seems a little strange. Honestly, it's weird to look at the table where the top teams are the ones that haven't won a single game in the playoffs of the Majors. For example, BetBoom, TSM, and others. They're very high on that list, right? They need to prove themselves on LAN, where it matters, not in some regional league", Aui_2000 said.

Notably, TSM and BetBoom are indeed in the top-12 of the standings in terms of DPC points needed to get an invite to The International 12. They earned their points after successfully performing in the regional DPC leagues. TSM and BetBoom did not make it out of the group at either ESL One Berlin Major 2023 or The Lima Major 2023.

The Cyberscore previously reported how the teams' DPC rankings changed after ESL One Berlin Major 2023 ended.
