The format for The International 2024 has been announced

Valve has announced the system of The International 2024. 16 teams will be divided into four groups, after which the teams will play against each other using the Round Robin system. Information about this appeared in the game client.

After the group stage, the teams will play matches for seeding in the playoffs of the tournament: some teams will get into the upper bracket, and some more teams will get into the lower bracket. According to the information published on the official website of the championship, the distribution of teams in the groups will be announced in 10 days (presumably on September 1).

Like last year, the tournament includes two main stages: “Road to The International” and ‘The International’. The former will begin on September 4 and run until September 10, while the latter is scheduled to run from September 13 to 16.

The International 2024 will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament has a starting prize pool of $1,600,000.
