Riyadh Masters 2024: all details

Esports World Cup organizers have shared details about Riyadh Masters 2024. From the social media representatives we got to know the format of the competition, prize pool and dates.

The dates of the event and the format:

The tournament will consist of three stages:

• Play-in - July 4 - July 7 - twelve teams will be divided into two equal groups that will play in a round-robin format in a Bo2 series. The top three of each group qualify for the group stage, and additional matches will be played for the 4th and 5th places;
• Group Stage - July 10 - 14 - participants will be split into two groups, but with eight teams each, where everyone will play everyone in a Bo2 series. The top four leaders from each group will earn spots in the upper playoff bracket, with the top 5-6 places in the lower bracket and the top 7-8 leaving the tournament;
• Playoffs - July 16 - 21 - double elimination, all Bo3 matches, and the grand finals are Bo5.

Prize Pool:

• Total - $5,000,000;
• 1st place - $1,500,000;
• 2nd place - $800,000;
• 3rd place - $600,000;
• 4th place - $400,000;
• 5th-6th place - $300,000;
• 7-8th place - $200,000;
• 9-12th place - $100,000;
• 13-14th place - $70,000;
• 15-16th place - $40,000;
• 17-18th place - $25,000;
• 19-20th place - $15,000.

Slot distribution:

20 teams will participate: 8 overall ESL Pro Tour leaderboards will receive an invitation, 5 teams will receive an invitation based on regional leaderboards. The remaining places will be awarded through regional qualifications. 

• May 27 - the top 8 teams on the EPT leaderboards will receive invitations;
• June 1 -  five places will be distributed among the leaders of the EPT Regional Rankings;
• June 2 - Regional Qualifiers for Eastern Europe, North America and Southeast Asia;
• June 4 - Regional Qualifiers for Western Europe, South America, China and MENA.

The Riyadh Masters 2024 will be held July 4-21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament will feature twenty teams competing for a prize pool of five million dollars.
