The general manager of 4D Esports, Adrian Mohme, said that the protests which are taking place in Peru should not threaten The Lima Major 2023. He told this in an interview with escorenews.com.

According to him, Dota 2 fans will be safe at tournament locations. However, he expressed hope that by the time the first Major of the season starts, the situation in the country will deescalate and the event will be held without any problems.

Mohme also commented on the possibility of the complete cancellation of The Lima Major 2023. «There is no possibility of event cancellation at the moment,» said the general manager of 4D Esports.

Recall that this tournament will be the first event of this level organized in South America. The total prize fund of the Major will be $500,000. The teams will also compete for 1900 DPC points. The Lima Major 2023 is scheduled to start on February 22, while the grand final will take place on March 5.
