No[o]ne on Satanic joining PARIVISION: “Alan acted like a little s**t. It was really hard with him”

PARIVISION midlaner Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko spoke about the adaptation and growth of Alan Satanic Gallyamov within the team. No[o]ne shared his thoughts on working with the new carry in an interview with esports journalist Maria Marple Ermolina, where he also touched on many other topics. [Question: Let's probably start from the beginning — from the moment Alan joined PARIVISION and where things stand now.]

From the moment he joined, Alan acted like a little s**t in the team. He brought a lot of negativity with him.

He would go in, die, and after the game say, “F***, guys, you played scared,” — and start flaming us. I just stood up and told him, “Alan, no one in this team flames anyone. You simply cannot allow yourself to act like that.” We had moments like that — they happened — but now things are much better.

No[o]ne mentioned that while he was glad to have Gallyamov join the team, it took a long time before Alan met them halfway in building effective communication. At some point, the extended effort to improve the young carry's behavior started to pay off, and Satanic became noticeably calmer and more professional.

[Question: I accidentally saw a short video, a clip from your vlog. You were talking to Satanic, he had just joined the team, and you told him: “Dude, this isn’t Spirit — we work differently here.” What was your intention? How were you trying to motivate him?]

I think he’s very emotionally attached to Spirit. He really loves the organization — they gave him a lot. But since he was joining us for a full year, he needed to gradually start separating from them a bit. Because if he’s that attached, what happens on stage? He’ll play against them and think, “Man, they’re so cool” So I felt it was important to build a psychological barrier, slowly, so he wouldn’t be so obsessed, wouldn’t think they’re this godlike team — which, of course, they kind of are.

There were no actual arguments there — just nonsense like, “Yeah, we’re better, we have better discipline, we understand the game better.” It’s just basic stuff. More like a motivational speech to hype him up.

Minenko also commented on Team Spirit’s decision to replace Satanic with Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk.

[Question: Do you think Spirit made the right call letting him go?]

I mean... come on, it’s Yatoro. Any questions?

I think Ilya is a genius — he plays insanely well. Whether it was the right move or not — that’s not for me to decide. But I think they were happy to let Alan go. Why keep him on the bench?
