Ex-Heroic will compete at BLAST SLAM VII under the legendary organization tag
Ahead of BLAST SLAM VII, the Ex-Heroic roster changed its registered name in the tournament documents to LGD Gaming. The organization has not officially announced the signing of the new roster, but the team’s coach, Igor Kaffs Furtado, hinted at this on his X page.
LGD Gaming is a veteran organization on the Dota pro scene. It was founded in 2009. Among the club’s major achievements are victories at Riyadh Masters 2022, WePlay AniMajor, MDL Changsha Major, EPICENTER XL, and runner-up finishes at PGL Arlington Major 2022, The International 2021, ESL One Fall 2021, The International 2018, Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, as well as numerous other podium finishes at major tournaments.
LGD suspended its Dota 2 operations in 2024. The Chinese club likely turned its attention to the South American roster due to a shortage of young and promising players in its home region, while LATAM rosters are becoming increasingly competitive on the Tier 1 scene every year.
