Lex predicts the release date of the The International 2025 Compendium
Commentator Aleksei Lex Filippov shared his expectations regarding the release of the Compendium for The International 2025 and warned that it should not be expected to offer a large amount of content.
The Compendium, apparently, for the third year in a row will be released two weeks before The International. It was released on Thursdays for the past two years, so I bet the release date this year is August 21.
According to him, the "book" will be modest and offer only a standard set of features: presentations of teams and commentators, small activities such as fantasy leagues or statues, and the opportunity to win a physical Aegis. He predicts the prize pool will likely not exceed $2,500,000.
Also, after the release of update 7.39d, new mentions of the compendium appeared in the game files. This was reported by Team Spirit analyst Mark sikle Lerman. What exactly these new lines of code mean is unknown, but it is likely that Valve is actively preparing for the release, as less than a month remains before the start of the tournament.
The International 2025 will take place from 04.09.2025 to 14.09.2025 in Hamburg, Germany, with the participation of 16 teams. The starting prize pool of the event is $1,600,000.
Earlier, Cyberscore reported that Valve had fixed a number of bugs after the release of patch 7.39d.
