Kips: "BTS BR has abused the privilege of hosting the SA DPC"

Coach CDUB Esports and English-language studio talent Murielle Kips Huisman has spoken out about the problems with paying for DPC 2023 coverage for South America. She announced this on Twitter.

 

 

 

According to her, BTS Brasil is abusing the privilege of hosting DPC in South America because the rates are "terrible", and five talents for the entire bo3-series in total earn as much as one caster at a DPC game for Western Europe. 

 

 

Professional casters refused en masse to cover the DPC in South America because of low pay. Because of this, BTS Brasil refused to negotiate with them and started to invite little-known talents from Brazil, thus worsening the quality of the Dota Pro Circuit coverage in South America. 

 

 

Another interesting thing was that neither ESB nor BTS Brasil tried to find sponsors to improve the quality of the DPC coverage in English. The talents continue to work for "peanuts." According to Kips, ESB and BTS Brasil asked community-casters to broadcast for free, but no one agreed. 

 

 

Tournament operator ESB hosts the Dota Pro Circuit summer tour in South America, while BTS Brasil covers the event.
