FURIA Esports CEO talks about the problems of the Dota 2 pro scene
Jaime raizen Padua, CEO of Brazilian eSports club FURIA Esports, spoke about the changes that need to take place in the professional Dota 2 scene.
In his opinion, the game must undergo an effective operational reorganization in order to become attractive to large organizations again.
Dota 2 is too player-centric - high salaries, prize pools, and so on. Organizations have unfortunately been sidelined. As a result, investments have dropped and the game's attendance has declined.
Previously, FURIA Esports had its own Dota 2 team. Among the most significant results were 3rd place at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online and 7-8 at WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020. Unfortunately, this was not enough for the Brazilian grandee and the organization left the discipline.
