A new hero has been announced at The International 2024

Valve announced a new hero ahead of the grand final of The International 2024. It’s Bird Samurai Kez, a similar character who already appeared in the storyline of the "Crownfall" event in Dota 2.

Rumors about this hero had been circulating for a long time: data miners found mentions of Bird Samurai in the game files back in the fall of 2023. At that time, it was also revealed that one of the hero's abilities would be called Avian Assault.

The hero's release is scheduled for the 4th act of the "Crownfall" event, with rumors suggesting it could happen as early as September 24.

The International 2024 is taking place from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The championship features 16 teams. The event’s prize pool exceeds $2 million.
