Handicap (Spread) is the expected advantage of the favorite of the match over the underdog in the number of kills, maps won, goals scored, points accumulated, etc. depending on the sport.

For example: you think that Team Falcons will easily beat Gaimin Gladiators in a BO3 match, and you bet on the Falcons map spread of -1.5. In this case, only a 2:0 win is suitable for you. The “plus” handicap works the other way around – if you bet on the +1.5 map spread on the Gladiators, your bet will win in all cases except a 2:0 win for the Falcons.
