History

Alliance is an organization that most Dota 2 players know as the owner of one of the strongest teams on the global professional scene. The tag's journey began in 2013, with the signing of the No Tidehunter pack, by then entirely made up of Swedish players and having already surprised fans by winning StarLadder StarSeries Season 5.

Since its inception, Alliance has won nearly every tournament of the season, including G-1 Champions League Season 5. After receiving a direct invitation to The International 2013, the team's players left their opponents no chance either in the group stage or during the main event. Their split-push strategy could not be handled by any team. Alliance faced Natus Vincere in the grand finals of the tournament, giving the audience one of the most entertaining series in Dota history. After Puck successfully knocked down teleports in the 5th game of the series, Loda, Akke, s4, AdmiralBulldog and EGM became the tournament champions and immortalized their names on the aegis.

Other teams were able to adapt to Alliance's playing style only after a season. Surprisingly, at the next The International 2014, the team took 11-12th place, falling out after the group stage. The first to leave the team were s4 and EGM, starting a series of changes in the roster. Until the end of 2015, Mynuts, Niqua, Ceb and other European players managed to join the roster. Then came the unexpected reunion of the "golden lineup", which managed to win World Cyber Arena 2015, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 1 and reach 9-12th place at The International 2016.

The 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons were quite difficult for Alliance. Struggling to assemble a Swedish roster and keeping age players in key positions relegated the team to the dash-2 level. Only after Loda took over as coach and Alliance's Dota 2 roster became stable, the team started playing: 3rd place at OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, 2nd place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2, victory at DOTA Summit 10 - all of this allowed the team to establish itself at the dash-1 level and take 13-16th place at The International 2019.

The unexpected departure of players to Team Liquid forced the management to start from scratch. A new roster with Nikobaby, Limmp, 33, Handsken and FATA- was signed in October 2019. The team managed to win DreamLeague Season 12 and placed 4th at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major. After the return of s4 and the arrival of fng, the team played even more decisively. Unfortunately, the lineup isn't showing the same results now, but who knows, maybe they'll be able to get back together in the future.
