Player chalice from from Elephant 2.0 Dota 2
Bio
Yang Chalice Shenyi is a Chinese professional Dota 2 player. In 2018-2019 he was a member of one of the strongest teams in the world - PSG.LGD. Yang has earned more than $ 2.1 million in prize money during his career.
Chalice made his debut in 2016 under the tag team MAX.Y. The roster could only compete in dash-2 and dash-3 tournaments, with no high rankings. In early 2017, there was a rebranding, and Chalice began to perform under the tag Team Max. After that, the team started winning qualifications for The Kiev Major 2017, World Cyber Arena 2017 TPC Pro Qualifier and The International 2017. Chalice managed to perform well during this period, which allowed him to get into LGD after its disbandment at the end of 2017.
Chalice quickly settled into the team with xNova, fy, Somnus`M, Ame, and the lineup step by step began to conquer the heights of professional Dota. A month after the rebranding of the team, PSG.LGD managed to win EPICENTER XL and MDL Changsha Major in just 3 weeks. For Yang, these wins were the first major achievements. The renewed squad approached The International 2018 in peak form - PSG.LGD took a stable place in the group, and after that showed incredibly confident performances in the playoffs. However, underdog OG managed to beat the disciplined Chinese five twice, and PSG.LGD had to settle for 2nd place.
By the start of 2019, the team's fervor with Chalice had noticeably waned. PSG.LGD finished 4th at two major tournaments, The Chongqing Major and MDL Disneyland® Paris Major. At The International 2019, Yang showed great play on Sand King and Tidehunter, but the lineup failed to beat his own result at last year's tournament - a legitimate 3rd place after fighting with Team Nigma.
The following year, Chalice's achievements were topped up with gold at China Dota2 Professional League Season 1 and China Dota2 Professional League Season 2. However, these victories could not prevent global replacements in PSG.LGD: first Somnus`M and fy left the team, followed by eLeVeN. Soon Chalice together with xNova moved to EHOME, and then the player became part of Royal Never Give Up.
In 2023, Chalice and his new team Azure Ray managed to take 4th place at TI 23 and prove again that he continues to be a top notch player in his position.
