Bio

Travis Castaway John Waters is a professional Dota 2 player from South Africa.

Castaway started his career in the cybersport sphere in 2016, joining the Dota 2 team White Rabbit Gaming, under whose tag he played for two years. During this time, Travis won the championship title at local tournaments such as Telkom DGL Masters Cup 2017, Mega8 Dota 2 Winter Cup 2017 and VS Gaming Masters Final, as well as qualifying through qualifications to the major WESG 2017 event, where he placed 17th-30th.

In September 2018, Entity announced a Dota 2 roster that included Castaway. However, a month later, the team was disbanded due to a failed game at the qualifications for ESL One Hamburg 2018. Then Travis for some time played for such teams as Aura Esports, LeetPro and others, and in April 2019, the cyber athlete rejoined Entity as a sapporter. In a familiar team, Castaway took bronze at the ESL India Premiership 2019 Summer Masters League Phase 1 and won gold at the ESL India Premiership 2019 Summer Masters League Finals. In July 2019, all Entity players left the organization.

Between 2020 and 2022, Castaway tried to make a name for himself in Sinister5, FLUX Esports, Meow Meow, and other obscure teams and packs. Then Travis joined Carstensz, under whose tag he played at a small Apote Invitational and tried his hand at the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Closed Qualifications, where he took 5th-6th place. In April 2023, the professional took the fifth position in the Neon Esports roster and soon took part in the regional league Dota Pro Circuit.

In 2024, Castaway along with Neon Esports participated in the qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham, Elite League 2024, DreamLeague Season 23, and PGL Wallachia Season 1. In June, he went to the qualifiers for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2024, but couldn't get past the open stage. In the qualifiers for The International 2024, the team was also unlucky: they finished in 9th-12th place. After that, Neon Esports disbanded the roster, and Travis became a free agent.

In November 2024, Castaway in roster Castawake participated in the ESL One Bangkok 2024 Southeast Asia qualifiers, where they finished 5th-6th in the closed stage of the qualifiers. Despite the fact that the team failed to qualify for the LAN, the players were noticed and signed by The MongolZ organization, which returned to the discipline after 7 years of inactivity.
