Bio

Tomas Valqui Yaulis Romero is a Peruvian coach and ex-professional Dota 2 player who previously played in the offlane position.

During his career as a player, Valqui never played in international tournaments, often changing teams. His professional journey began in January 2017 by joining Infamous, but after failing to qualify for the 2017 Dota 2 Asia Championships he left the team.

Over the next two years, Valqui was part of various South American teams including Mad Kings, Team Unknown, Infamous.Young, and EgoBoys without achieving much success. He stayed the longest with Gorillaz-Pride from February to October 2020, achieving his best result at ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas, where he placed eighth.

In October 2020, Valqui left Gorillaz-Pride in search of a new team to fulfill his potential in the third position. He subsequently joined Infinity Esports, Latam Defenders, Spirits and APU King of Kings, but failed to qualify for international tournaments with them.

In February 2022, Valqui made the transition to coaching, joining beastcoast. In his role as coach of the Peruvian club, he helped the team qualify for major tournaments such as ESL One Stockholm 2022 and PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022, although he was unable to travel to the latter due to visa issues in the United States. After Beastcoast 's disappointing performance at The International 2023, the roster was disbanded.

In the fall of 2023, Thomas joined Kaiser as a second position player. Under this tag he participated in the qualification for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where he took 7th-8th place. In January 2024, Valqui participated with Kaiser in the qualifications for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024, but at none of the qualifications the squad managed to qualify for the closed qualifiers stage.
