“There are no counters for them”: Yatoro named the most overpowered supports in Patch 7.40c

Team Spirit’s carry Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk spoke about the current state of the meta on the pro scene, noting that Warlock, Jakiro, and Treant Protector are extremely strong. According to the player, position four heroes are currently significantly weaker than “fives”. The esports player shared his thoughts in an interview during the official broadcast of ESL One Birmingham 2026.

“The five-position hero destroys position four, and then position three, while carry farms freely. There are no counters for Warlock and Jakiro; you can pick Shadow Shaman just to survive, but he’ll still be much weaker. Right now, you can only survive in the offlane.

This really kills the meta. Warlock, Jakiro, and Treant Protector are three very imbalanced position five heroes that can outplay any hero on the lane. It shouldn’t be like this; it’s too imbalanced. If these heroes get nerfed, we might be able to breathe again.”

Mulyarchuk also shared what he would like to change in the game to make the meta more diverse and balanced. He believes it’s necessary to update the placement of neutral creep camps, change the existing concept of side lanes, and adjust the kill`s bounty formula.

“Kills should be worth more than the jungle. And supports shouldn’t be able to buy more than two items. I just don’t want to see opponents running around the map for 30 minutes, farming the side lanes without showing up on them, and still having net worth. That’s nonsense.”

On the first day of ESL One Birmingham 2026, Team Spirit started with a victory over paiN Gaming and split points with Aurora Gaming. Yatoro stated that, given the team’s current form, he expects them to finish at least in the top 2 of the tournament. The championship takes place from 22.03.2026 to 29.03.2026. Sixteen teams are competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000 and 35,460 EPT points. You can follow the competition in detail in the report.

As CyberScore previously reported, Yatoro spoke about his attitude toward Dota 2, his return from inactivity, and the internal processes of Team Spirit in an interview with Maria Marple Ermolina.
