The International 2026 Compendium and the Summer Scrub: A Major Update Has Been Released for Dota 2
On July 31, the Compendium for The International 2026 was released in Dota 2. Just like last year, it’s free for all players. In addition, Patch 7.41e was released, and the summer scrub took place — with a massive list of new features and bug fixes for the game (and more).
The International 2026 Compendium
As usual, the Compendium features support packs for commentators and teams, which include emoticons, chat wheel phrases, sprays, and other cosmetic items.
Just like last year, you’ll earn rewards in the Compendium by participating in the Fantasy League. Fantasy points will be earned from selected players as well as bracket predictions. Depending on their final standings at the end of the championship, participants will receive the following prizes:
- Top 100: One-year Dota Plus subscription, a Terrain Token, a 100% discount on a Collectible Aegis, and five Tyrian Regalia Immortal Treasure
- Top 1,500: A six-month Dota Plus subscription, a Terrain Token, a 100% discount on a Collectible Aegis, and two Tyrian Regalia Immortal Treasure
- 95th percentile: A two-month Dota Plus subscription, a Terrain Token, a 50% discount on a Collectible Aegis, and one Tyrian Regalia Immortal Treasure
- 90th percentile: A one-month Dota Plus subscription and a Terrain Token
- 85th percentile: A one-month Dota Plus subscription
In addition, every 1,000 Fantasy Points earns you 300 Dota Plus Shards. Participation rewards are also available to all users and can be claimed immediately. These include: an Aegis emoji, a set of The International 2026 wallpapers, and chat wheel phrases.
Patch 7.41e and the Summer scrub
In Update 7.41e, the developers did not introduce any major changes but merely adjusted the balance of heroes and items by modifying their stats. Popular heroes were nerfed, while underused heroes received minor buffs.
The changes brought by the Summer scrub deserve special attention:
- Immortal Rank players have had their MMR adjusted. All players are now between 1 and 9500 MMR. The cutoff for Immortal Draft is still 8500 MMR. Random Draft and Ranked Classic have been removed from the available Ranked modes.
- Dota Plus users can now view an enhanced post-game analysis. It now includes new sections on dispels, team damage reduction, and allies’ contributions (items and abilities) to damage, as well as how much enemies reduced that damage. Damage statistics show exactly which abilities finished off enemy heroes. Additionally, expanded information on healing is now available.
- In the settings, you can now customize hotkeys for each non-hero creature (for example, Lone Druid’s Spirit Bear).
On top of that, the developers have fixed numerous bugs, including those affecting cosmetic items and Dota Plus relics.
As CyberScore previously reported, the third chapter of “The Dark Carnival” is now available in Dota 2.
