“It has nothing to do with the results” - Seleri on Dyrachyo kick from Gaimin Gladiators

Full support of Gaimin Gladiators, Melchior Seleri Hillenkamp, gave an interview in which he discussed the reasons for the kick of former carry Anton Dyrachyo Shkredov. According to him, the decision was not related to the team's results at The International 2024.

Seleri shared that the team felt the need for changes in the roster last year, though no one knew what exactly needed to change.

Last year, we all felt we couldn't continue together. No one really knew what needed to change, but we all felt it was hard to keep going with the atmosphere and the way things were.

Melchior confirmed that the replacement of Dyrachyo was unrelated to their results at TI 2024. The reshuffle would have happened even if the team had won the grand final.

So, it has nothing to do with the results. For instance, I see some people saying that if we had won TI, we wouldn’t have reshuffled. We placed second, so we're happy. That actually has nothing to do with it.

Seleri revealed that the Gaimin Gladiators lineup is built around him, t0fu, and Ace. They proposed Dyrachyo’s removal, feeling that this change would allow them to shift their gameplay style.

I think everyone agreed on the decision to release Dyrachyo. We all discussed it. We felt we wanted to make a global change. Our lineup is built around t0fu, Ace, and me. We form the core. So, we make decisions and think about what we want to change. First of all, we thought about whether we could continue playing together. We also considered what we wanted to change in our playstyle and everything like that. So, we felt that this was the way out.

As a reminder, Gaimin Gladiators benched Dyrachyo shortly after The International 2024, where they finished in 2nd place, losing to Team Liquid in the grand final. Just a few days later, former Cloud9 carry Alimzhan watson Islanbekov replaced Anton in the roster. With him, GG finished 7th at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.

As previously reported by Cyberscore.live, Save spoke about playing against Nightfall.
