Nix compared The International and the LoL World Championship

Content creator Alexander Nix Levin called The International a more exciting tournament than the League of Legends World Championship 2025. The streamer shared his opinion on his personal Telegram channel.

"I just watched the fifth map of Tundra vs. Falcons. I didn't see the previous maps, but it actually looked [cool]. And compared to LoL, where [in the Worlds 2025 grand final] it was also 3:2, I don't know... Maybe it's because I don't play LoL, but I've been playing Dota 2 for so long... Somehow, Dota looks more colorful and exciting...

...And if, of course, you compare Worlds and The International — well, The International is way cooler. But then again, the moments of the game, maybe when you play it a lot... You start to notice more and enjoy it more. Or maybe it's just the graphics... Obviously, as I said before, the developers of LoL do a lot more for the game: storylines, scenes, everything. But the game itself looks a little clunky in that regard."

However, Nix noted that due to the frequent Dota 2 championships, interest in the matches and their significance is much reduced, especially in the absence of significant changes in patches and a stagnant meta.

The International 2025 took place from 04.09.2025 to 14.09.2025 in Hamburg, Germany, with 16 teams participating. The event's prize pool was $2,881,791, and the champion was Team Falcons.

The League of Legends World Championship 2025 and BLAST SLAM IV finals took place on the same day, November 9. T1 won the LoL World Championship with a prize pool of $5,000,000, and Lee Faker Sang-hyeok won his sixth Worlds title. At BLAST Slam IV, Tundra Esports became the champion, defeating Team Falcons with a score of 3:2.

As previously reported by CyberScore, Nix shared his impressions of the opening ceremony of The International 2025.
