G2 Esports has ended its partnership with Invictus Gaming

The European organization G2 Esports has announced the end of its partnership with the Chinese team Invictus Gaming. The representatives also stated that they remain committed to building a fanbase in China and will continue to support local fans. This information was shared on the company's social media.

Our G2xiG partnership has come to an end, and we have mutually agreed to part ways. We want to thank iG for helping us expand our presence in China and launch our first team in the region. We also want to thank our G2 x iG DOTA 2 players for representing G2 on the world stage.

We're still committed to building our fanbase in China. We'll continue to support our local fans and we hope to be back with more in the future, watch this space

G2 Esports opened its Dota 2 division in December 2023, when it signed the Invictus Gaming roster. The team's debut tournament was ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where they placed fifth.

The biggest achievement for G2xiG in 2024 was third place at Games of the Future and seventh at Elite League 2024. The team also competed at Riyadh Masters 2024 and TI13, finishing nineteenth and thirteenth, respectively. Currently, the roster is participating in PGL Wallachia Season 2, competing under the IG tag.
