How to earn all the Frostivus Forge rewards

Frostivus Forge is a part of the festive Frostivus event, where you can earn valuable rewards. To receive gifts, you need to play Dota 2 and collect infusions.

Infusions

Infusions are resources for the Frostivus Forge. With their help, you can receive various rewards crafted using special recipes composed of magical essences.

• Crystallized Joy – +30 for winning a game, +1 for picking up a bounty rune, +4 for killing a courier.
• Essence of Friendship – +10 for playing in a group, +0.0002 per healing unit, +1 for assisting in a kill, +2 for a “high five” after killing a hero, +2 for a “high five” with an enemy.
• Concentrated Whimsy – +5 for stealing a hat (using the Frostivus Spirit ability), +2 for a kill, +0.0002 per damage unit dealt.
• Festive Spirit – +4 for thanking a player and receiving thanks (referring to “tips”), +10 for a kill after throwing a snowball, +0.5 for pushing a penguin, +0.5 for building a snowman before the first kill.

Overall, nothing is too complicated, but a few important points are worth highlighting:

• The number of infusions earned per game is limited. For example, the maximum amount of Crystallized Joy that can be obtained from picked-up bounty runes is 20 units. To learn more about each infusion, hover over it and hold Alt.

• Event abilities don’t have to be used with the mouse. For convenience, you can use a combination like Ctrl+Q.
• The maximum number of penguin pushes per game is also limited to 20. Don’t spend too much game time on this and don’t ruin the match for your teammates. To quickly reach the required number, you can launch the penguin into trees or other obstacles to make it bounce back. The best approach is to not take it too seriously but launch the penguin from time to time and push it a few times until you reach the required count.
• Hats have no significant in-game value, but the player with the most hats will be shown on the MVP screen after the match.

• Stealing hats from opponents is quite simple, especially during the laning stage. If you’re confident the enemy won’t stun you and it won’t interfere with your gameplay, you can give it a try.
• Killing an enemy resets their hats. This is especially frustrating for a player on a killing spree.
• Additional hats can be obtained from Tormentors or Roshan. However, be careful: attempting to steal a hat from a Tormentor will deal damage equal to 50% of your hero’s maximum health, and stealing from Roshan will trigger his roar, which will be heard across the entire map.

Rewards

Rewards are divided into six tiers, each requiring specific conditions to be unlocked. The number of available gifts is limited, and they can only be crafted a certain number of times. Additionally, each of them requires a specific recipe.

Tier I – Available immediately:

1. Chat wheel phrases – 5 – Crystallized Joy (20), Essence of Friendship (20);
2. Graffiti – 4 – Concentrated Whimsy (20), Festive Spirit (20).

Tier II – Requires crafting 3 rewards from Tier I:

1. Loading Screen Treasure – 10 – Crystallized Joy (16), Essence of Friendship (16), Festive Spirit (48);
2. Emoticons – 8 – Crystallized Joy (16), Concentrated Whimsy (48), Festive Spirit (16).

Tier III – Requires crafting 3 rewards from Tier II:

1. Tormentor – 1 – Crystallized Joy (40), Essence of Friendship (100), Concentrated Whimsy (100);
2. Courier Ruddy and Rannoff – 1 – Crystallized Joy (80), Essence of Friendship (120), Concentrated Whimsy (120), Festive Spirit (160).

Crownfall – Requires crafting 3 rewards from Tier III:

1. 5 tokens of the first act – 5 – Crystallized Joy (80), Essence of Friendship (40), Concentrated Whimsy (40);
2. 5 tokens of the second act – 5 – Essence of Friendship (40), Concentrated Whimsy (80), Festive Spirit (40);
3. 5 tokens of the third act – 5 – Crystallized Joy (40), Concentrated Whimsy (40), Festive Spirit (80);
4. 5 tokens of the fourth act – 5 – Crystallized Joy (40), Essence of Friendship (80), Festive Spirit (40).

Legacy – Requires crafting 2 rewards from Tier III:

1. Frostivus 2023 Treasure – 5 – Crystallized Joy (30), Essence of Friendship (30), Concentrated Whimsy (30), Festive Spirit (30).

Premium – Requires purchasing one “Pathfinder Pack” of Crownfall:

1. 5 coins of the Crownfall shop – 2 – Crystallized Joy (60), Essence of Friendship (60), Concentrated Whimsy (60), Festive Spirit (60);
